India’s first National Skill Development Policy was formulated only in 2009 and in the last nineyears, nation has witnessed much progress than what other international skills markets have done perhaps in more than a century. The National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2017 supersedes the policy of 2009 with the objective of skilling at scale with speed, standard and sustainability.
